Definitions of this season's set subjects

Abstract
Abstract photography focuses on details or on the way light is used; as a result, the object that is photographed can no longer be recognised easily. An abstract photograph often only shows a part of a natural scene, with the viewer no longer having information about the context, that way it may create a view that looks unreal.

Pastels:
Pastel Colours are gentle shades of colour that are not highly saturated. This can be of any photographic subject, but must be softly coloured, either as a monotone or more than one colour, but where the pastel shading is
a primary feature of the photograph.
